March 16, 2013 The catfish bite at Calaveras Lake has remained strong! Water temperature is hovering around 70* so the redfish will be biting soon! A few are being caught, but not enough to target yet-- they should start schooling by the first or second week of April.
February 26, 2013 The weather may be cold, but the catfish bite is HOT at Calaveras Lake and should remain excellent through March! It's not uncommin for trips to limit out on catfish this time of year! That's 25 per person!!
